Flowery Branch — The Falcons and Pro Bowl running back Warrick Dunn have agreed to a one-year contract extension.

The deal will make Dunn a Falcon through the 2008 season. Dunn, coming off a career-best 280-carry, 1,416-yard season, is scheduled to earn a base salary of $2.7 million this season, $3.25 million in 2007 and $4 million in 2008.

By turning future roster bonuses into a $2.5 million signing bonus, the Falcons will save $3 million toward their salary cap figure this season.
