The 38-year-old actor-comedian was practicing Monday for a charity race to promote his upcoming film, "Redline," when he drove too fast around a curve at the Irwindale Speedway. Video footage shows the red sports car screeching before it ricocheted off the barrier with heavy damage to its front.

"Undercover Brother's good at karate and all the rest of that, but the Brother can't drive," said Griffin, referring to his 2002 movie, after the accident.

The film's publicist, Wendy Zocks, said Griffin was "doing OK."

"He walked away completely unscratched, but probably a little shaken," Zocks said.

The Enzo is owned by "Redline" executive producer Daniel Sadek, whose exotic car collection is featured in the movie.

Sadek said the Enzo was damaged beyond repair.

"I'm glad Eddie came out of the crash OK, but my dream car got destroyed," Sadek said. "I went to my trailer for about 15 minutes and I thought,`There's people dying every day. A lot of worse things are happening in the world.'"

Only 400 Ferrari Enzos were produced, all between 2002 and 2004.

Griffin's film credits also include "Norbit," "Undercover Brother," "Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo" and its sequel, and "Date Movie."

Hiroshi Maeue, 38, agreed to a death pact with a 25-year-old office worker he met on a suicide Web site, but instead strangled her in a parked car and disposed of her body in western Japan in 2005, according to a police statement.

He also killed a 14-year-old boy and a 21-year-old university student in the same year, also by luring them with promises to die together, police said.

Maeue was sentenced to death on charges of murder and disposing bodies illegally, according to an Osaka District Court official who spoke on condition of anonymity, citing policy.

Maeue pleaded guilty to the three murders but has appealed his death sentence, Kyodo News agency reported.

Suicide Web sites have been used by dozens of Japanese in recent years to plot group suicides. A record 91 people killed themselves in 34 Internet-linked suicide pacts in 2005, almost triple the number in 2003, when the National Police Agency started compiling statistics.

The sites host chat rooms with death wishes and postings on how best to take your own life. They appear to be frequented by young people who are troubled by bullying, romantic breakups or abusive family members.

Victims typically die from asphyxiation by lighting charcoal stoves inside a sealed car.

If these two TV spots are any indication of what's to come from Transformers, this film should be amazing. It looks like even Michael Bay haters will be forced to quiet down until at least 2008.

Atlanta police Major Lane Hagan said the woman was shot by the man during a domestic dispute, and a Turner security guard then shot the man.


Hagan said the gunman and the woman, who according to witnesses was pregnant, "did have some confrontation. They knew each other and he was being aggressive."


Atlanta police Sgt. S. Speed, who works in the Zone 5 office inside CNN Center, said "the situation is under control." Speed said the shooting occurred in the upstairs lobby of the Omni Hotel. The female victim and a male believed to be the shooting suspect were transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition.


CNN evacuated its downstairs newsroom, which includes its CNN.com operations. People were told to move away from the windows and then escorted out of the offices as police determined where the shooting took place.


When CNN employees heard the shot, some at first thought someone had dropped something.


Suddenly, staffers started running.


"It was a human tsunami in the CNN newsroom," said a Web site producer at CNN who didn't give his name per company policy.


Employees started running in different directions, many taking refuge in the CNN.com area, which is farthest from the windows that overlook the atrium, the producer said.


The newsroom was fully staffed at the time of the shooting.


About 200 people working in the CNN.com newsroom when the shooting occurred, according to a staffer. The company told employees they could go home if they felt uncomfortable, but most stayed. CNN has announced they will bring in counselors tomorrow.


The Atlanta fire department has roped off the Marietta-street side of CNN Center and people are not being allowed to enter the Omni Hotel area.


Rod White, 43, from Atlanta, was on a CNN tour while celebrating his wife Carolyn's 40th birthday and heard the gunshots.


He immediately recognized what they were.


"I heard one, then three, then two more shots. I looked at my wife to see if she was OK," then evacuated to the street, White said.


Rico Wilson, 24, was in the food court at CNN Center when the gunfire erupted.


"Anytime I hear shots fired, I take off in the opposite direction," said Wilson, an IT consultant.


"I just tried to get ahead of the crowd," said Wilson, who ran out a side door near Philips Arena. "It was like confusion. Nobody knew what was going on."


"I looked behind me and saw a stampede. It was a lot of kids running, teenagers and a lot of people."


Don Shields, manager of the Braves Store in CNN Center, said he heard about three to five shots coming from the toward the Marietta Street entrance to CNN Center.


"All I heard was gunshots, then 25 or 30 people started to run," Shields said. He said he let people take cover in the back room of his store.


When asked how many shots he heard, he said, "I couldn't count them. It's something you don't expect."


According to an analysis of Atlanta Police Department crime records, there was only one incident involving a gun at CNN in 2006, a robbery that occurred in the street outside the building. In 2006, there were 24 incidents reported inside the hotel, mostly thefts. The most serious was a simple assault. None involved guns.

“I got the word this morning from an upper level music industry source who has provided rock solid information to Sandrarose.com in the past,” Rose wrote on her Web site Monday. “My inside source informed me that Usher and Tameka broke the news to Usher's mom and to Tameka's ex-husband, clothier Ryan Glover.”




Now, blog site YBF is saying that Foster is actually four months pregnant with Glover’s child, adding: "Usher is about to come out pretty soon about the baby and will claim it as his own."




YBF also claims that Usher proposed to Foster this month because of the pregnancy, and their wedding is scheduled to take place in November.



Ryan and Tameka, who share joint custody of their three children, had an amicable divorce that became finalized earlier this year, according to Rose.
